Demigods and Hypocrites

Tax evasion, adultery, DWI, money laundering, bribery, lying, ethics and Tom Foolery... And that is just CONGRESS! Our citizens are so dissatisfied with our current leadership. President Obama has lost his mojo that he had when he took the oval office. I think the silver lining, if there is one, is that the American people has come together as a force that surely got the politicians wondering what was happening. And it will continue. I get emails from different groups I belong to about upcoming gatherings and events. It pains me to admit this, but, I have been agreeing with liberals. There it is, I said it. Joking aside, a number of liberals I know have spoke out against a majority of the current administration's programs and policies. The bottom line is the spending. It is out of control, giving Obama and the congress money is equivalent to giving a crack addict crack. Joe Wilson was censured for calling the President a liar. (paraphrased) Today, Alan Grayson, D-FL, made a really cheesy and unprofessional presentation on how the the republicans have a healthcare plan that wants you to die quickly. What a fool. And he makes a decent salary funded by the taxpayers. Will Pelosi censure Grayson? What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Grandstanding:

Unfortunately, I guess this is the best we can do in regards to representatives. Let's take a look at some of our elected officials. Charles Rangel, chair of the House Ways & Means committee. He allegedly has lied about his taxes, rental properties and investments. Pelosi said she would have it resolved by the end of 2008. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, has fund raisers hosted by lobbyist for United Healthcare, Charles Schumer receives $1.65M from different financial Wall St. firms. Harry Reid, D-NV, made a huge amount of money when he didn't own it. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, made a lot of money on an investment, which was rather fishy. The list is long , but distinguished. Of course, it isn't just democrats. There has been a full compliment of republicans guilty of many of the same crimes. Yes, crimes. The only way to resolve this dilemma is to start voting them out. We need to take the situation upon ourselves and make some changes.

Bob Basso as Thomas Paine:

It wasn't Rape-Rape:
Fugitive Roman Polanski, film director, producer, rapist was arrested in Switzerland on Saturday. Ironically, he was on his way to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Zurich Film Festival. Hollywood celebrities are coming out in droves to defend this man. He raped a thirteen year old girl in Jack Nicholson's house after giving her Quaaludes and booze. She was thirteen and he was forty four. But, I guess if you are talented and make cool films, the liberals will come to your defense. I pose this question to the defenders, what if it was their daughter raped by a forty four year old degenerate? I thought so. I hope he is extradited to the states and thrown in the slammer. Then he play rape whenever he wants. Just ask Whoopi Goldberg!

TEN FOR '10: WINNING WASHINGTON BY EMPOWERING AMERICANS

Laura Ingraham has done it again: September 15, 2009
1) Taxpayers' Bill of Rights (TABOR). Limit federal spending growth to the percentage in population growth plus the rate of inflation; provide taxpayers the option of filing a post-card sized return using a low, flat tax rate of 15%

2) End Tax-funded abortions. Stop federal payments to Planned Parenthood and prohibit any taxpayer-subsidized health insurance plan from covering abortion

3) Defend American Borders. Complete America's border-protection initiatives using remaining funds from the so-called stimulus bill

4) King Dollar. Preserve a strong dollar so that Americans' savings aren't wiped out by inflation and the U.S. dollar remains the world's reserve currency

5) Empower American Business. Immediately slash corporate tax rates to 15% and scrap the capital-gains tax altogether

6) Defend America. Strengthen America to defend our homeland and fully fund an operational, layered missile-defense system

7) Statism Exit Plan. De-fund czars; immediately cease bailout payments to failed companies; ban future bailouts

8) End Generational Theft. As few believe America's entitlement programs will be able to pay benefits to future generations, provide younger workers the choice of diverting payroll/Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts

9) Restore America's System of Justice. Introduce penalties for frivolous lawsuits, where those who launch unsuccessful lawsuits are liable for the defendants' legal bills

10) American Energy Independence. All-of-the-Above strategy that embraces alternatives, expands and accelerates exploration and production of oil and natural gas, and jumpstarts dramatic increases in nuclear power

Questions of the day:
What will be the carbon footprint for President Obama to fly to Copenhagen and back? Michelle flew over there a couple of days ago in her government jet? Is Oprah paying for that or are we the people? What is her carbon footprint? However, we should reduce our energy consumption.

Question du jour:
"But where says some is the King of America? I'll tell you Friend, he reigns above, and doth not make havoc of mankind like the Royal Brute of Britain...let it be brought forth placed on the divine law, the word of God; let a crown be placed thereon, by which the world may know, that so far as we approve of monarchy, that in America THE LAW IS KING."
Thomas Paine, Common Sense, 1776
