WWII Battleship Sailor tells Obama to shape up or ship out!

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii                 



for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes


all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body,


he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now.


He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.


Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.

You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

" We're no longer a Christian nation"

" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even

announced to the world,"America is mean-

spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching

that nonsense to 23 generations of our

war dead buried all over the globe who

died for no other reason than to free a

whole lot of strangers from tyranny and

hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts, who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.

You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.

The real meaning of Thanksgiving

I really liked what this journalist had to say about Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to all!


There are many myths and misconceptions surrounding the people responsible for the American Thanksgiving tradition. Contrary to popular opinion, the Pilgrims didn't wear buckles on their shoes or hats. They weren't teetotalers, either. They smoked tobacco and drank beer. And, most importantly, their first harvest festival and subsequent "thanksgivings" weren't held to thank the local natives for saving their lives.




Do you know there are public schools in America today actually teaching that? Some textbooks, in their discomfort with open discussions of Christianity, say as much. I dare suggest most parents today know little more about this history than their children.



Yet, there is no way to divorce the spiritual from the celebration of Thanksgiving – at least not the way the Pilgrims envisioned it, a tradition dating back to the ancient Hebrews and their feasts of Succoth and Passover.



The Pilgrims came to America for one reason – to form a separate community in which they could worship God as they saw fit. They had fled England because King James I was persecuting those who did not recognize the Church of England's absolute civil and spiritual authority.



On the two-month journey of 1620, William Bradford and the other elders wrote an extraordinary charter – the Mayflower Compact. Why was it extraordinary? Because it established just and equal laws for all members of their new community – believers and non-believers alike. Where did they get such revolutionary ideas? From the Bible, of course.



When the Pilgrims landed in the New World, they found a cold, rocky, barren, desolate wilderness. There were no friends to greet them, Bradford wrote. No houses to shelter them. No inns where they could refresh themselves. During the first winter, half the Pilgrims died of sickness or exposure – including Bradford's wife. Though life improved for the Pilgrims when spring came, they did not really prosper. Why? Once again, the textbooks don't tell the story, but Bradford's own journal does. The reason they didn't succeed initially is because they were practicing an early form of socialism.



The original contract the Pilgrims had with their merchant-sponsors in London called for everything they produced to go into a common store. Each member of the community was entitled to one common share. All of the land they cleared and the houses they built belonged to the community. Bradford, as governor, recognized the inherent problem with this collectivist system.

"The experience that was had in this common course and condition, tried sundry years ... that by taking away property, and bringing community into common wealth, would make them happy and flourishing – as if they were wiser than God," Bradford wrote. "For this community [so far as it was] was found to breed much confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort. For young men that were most able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men's wives and children without any recompense ... that was thought injustice."

What a surprise! Even back then people did not want to work without incentive. Bradford decided to assign a plot of land to each family to work and manage, thus turning loose the power of free enterprise. What was the result?

"This had very good success," wrote Bradford, "for it made all hands industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been."

As a result, the Pilgrims soon found they had more food than they could eat themselves. They set up trading posts and exchanged goods with the Indians. The profits allowed them to pay off their debts to the merchants in London much faster than expected. The success of the Plymouth colony thus attracted more Europeans and set off what we call the "Great Puritan Migration."

But it wasn't just an economic system that allowed the Pilgrims to prosper. It was their devotion to God and His laws. And that's what Thanksgiving is really all about. The Pilgrims recognized that everything we have is a gift from God – even our sorrows. Their Thanksgiving tradition was established to honor God and thank Him for His blessings and His grace.

Today we continue that tradition in my home – and I hope in yours. God bless you, God bless America, and Happy Thanksgiving.

It's the Unemployment, Stupid!

I have been rather skeptical about the administration's claims that we are ascending from this historical recession. Today, we find out that the economy (GDP) grew by 2.8%, not 3.5% in the third quarter. Should we believe anything the Government says. I've heard pundits say we will emerge from this, just give it time. We will come out of this like President Reagan brought the country out of what Jimmy Carter created. The difference is, back then, China did not own us. Plus, Reagan cut taxes and made it advantageous for small busineses to prosper and hire new employees. Obama and his sycophants want to raise taxes and David (ObiOneKenobi) Obey, D-WI, recommended to levy a war  tax up to 5%. Are they completely out of their minds. The military men and women are already being paid in their jobs. This is another vehicle for democrats to tax us to death. I saw Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-NY, 9th District, on the Neil Cavuto Show with Stuart Varney today, and he admitted that the Government should takeover healthcare involving a single payer option. Varney called him a socialist and he did not disagree. It scares me to think that our representatives are not following our Constitution and they are running our country into the ground. Now, our politicians are talking about a second stimulus bill. Are they on drugs? We need to vote out this gang of thieves and start fresh. They are out of control.  We don't need a second stimulus, we need  to stop spending the first stimulus' monies and lower payroll taxes. The operative word is "stop." They (administration and congress) are drunk with spending. ObamaPelosiReidcare is seriously going to hinder the economy's recovery, if it is a true recovery.  My wife and I were talking the other night and we agreed that maybe this Obama disaster is good for the conservatives to unite. We attended the 912 Rally in DC, other tea parties and townhalls and it was invigorating to see patriotic Americans come together for a common cause. We really must take back our country bound by the Constitution of the United States of America. I realize President Obama doesn't believe that the Constitution is what our country should abide by. I do, and so do so many patriotic Americans. Let's get back to the economy, many economists agree that the true unemployment rate is 17.5%. Among black American males, it is an astounding 34.5%. That is unconscionable. Where are those 3 miilion jobs the stimulus would produce? Huh, my mistake. Now, the idiots  congress is kicking around a "jobs caucus."  More spending when they haven't spent the bulk of the first stimulus. I heard our President say, now that we have taken the first step, we need to focus on job creation. Ello Guvna!  Is he living in the present? I hate to rag on the President night after night, however, his inexperience is getting the best of him. I must say, I don't agree with anything he does. We shouldn't have elected a Senator from Illinois with a 5 minute career. Glenn Beck has proposed an interesting idea. He is going to be educating Americans on how to be "Community Activists."  We will give ACORN a run for our money. We are presently united, this will take it to a "hol nutha level" (Mad TV). This didn't come from Michael Steele. Matter of fact, he didn't have anything to do with it. An Indiana conservative republican starting circulating a draft resolution calling for the RNC to stop funding and endorsing candidates who strays from our 10 core principles. As a candidate, you must not deviate from the list by more than 2 points or you are ostracized.  I hope this is not lip service and they can really enforce these core principles.

ClimateGate Update:
As Emeril says, "BAM." Even though the state run media hasn't mentioned the fraudulent activities by prominent scientists-global warming advocates, the internet has escalated this gigantic story on both sides of the big pond. Brits are calling for investigations, the U.S. politicians are calling for investigations. Phil Jones, call your office (and your lawyer). In retrospect, President Obama is taunting a significant
agreement with India and China concerning climate change, which is happening in Copenhagen in early December. Earth to Obama! He must feel like everything he does is turning to dung. Please don't bow.

ClimateGate! The Audacity of Fraud

Wow! I can't believe what has transpired since last Thursday afternoon. The climate change advocates are in major retreat. The hacking of the CRU's computer system is bigger than Watergate. I read through some of these emails from some of the prominent scientists of the global warming community. This has to be one of the biggest lies, frauds, conspiracies ever perpetrated against the world. This global warming myth is finally out there for the public to see. The climate nutjobs are going to denigrate any and all information that comes out from this hacking. Mark my words, they will do everything to discredit the global warming pessimist and this incriminating evidence because they have too much to lose. Read the emails, the global warming proponents manipulate, suppress and select certain data that will benefit their causes. Were laws broken? When you receive Government funds and commit fraud (conspire to commit fraud) has probably broke one or more laws. The American public and the world must realize these scientists, some from very prestigious universities and foundations will do anything to continue their research and be hansomely paid for it. This whole global warming industry is a "cash cow."  Look at Al Gore, Jr, his income has gone through the roof since he failed in the Presidential election. He has hawled the global warming myth and invested in technologies and capital investment groups, put out books and movies, then spews lies and unthruths about global warming/climate change for speculated profits.  This is the proverbial "Inconvenient Truth"? In a previous posting, I mentioned how Britain's court system pulled Gore's movie because of nine factual errors. Gore never debates opponents on this topic. Scientist Patrick Michaels and Lord Monkton has publicly challenged Gore and he has declined. Why? Doesn't he have the conviction to defend his beliefs? Or is it, he knows it is flawed science? Time will tell. The scientists become substandard researchers at best when they resort to underhanded practices, undermining the total scientific community which has a credible reputation. The CRU's director, Phil Jones, emails Michael Mann of Penn State University, and questions the information about human activities and global warming should make it into the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, United Nations) which represents concensus on climate change.  There are a plethora of emails and papers incriminating the proponent global warming scientists. I hope this will be the stake in the heart of Crap & Trade. I wonder what Barbara Boxer will say about this? So much for her climate bill. Another crooked item is how the climate change scientists strongarmed editors of science magazines to stop publishing the global warming opponents papers and writings. Then, they turn around and accuse the opponents of not having enough peer reviewed work available for rebuttal. The liberal left science community stifling opposition. It kind of sounds like the Obama White House?

Harry (Doctor Smith) Reid gets his way:
Saturday night is alright for fighting. That is what Elton John sang, and so did Harry Reid. The Senate voted 60-39, along party lines to pass bringing the Senate bill to the floor for debate. Landreiu sold out for $300M for Louisiana, who knows what Nelson, Bennett and Lincoln received for their votes. Even Lieberman voted for this bill. Many Senators said that they will not vote for this bill in it's current form. Reid has many hurdles in his way. Moderate and Blue dog democrats will not vote for a bill that has a public option in it. Some will not vote for a bill that has federally funded abortion. On the other side, the extreme left will not vote for a bill that does not have a robust public option and federally funded abortion. My hopes is that this goes down in flames and they start over and possibly use some common sense constructing a new healthcare bill with portablity, tort reform, interstate competiton and of course, stop the waste, fraud and abuse. Americans unite, call your representatives!

Make a freakin' decision, already. Today, Obama's war council meeting makes the ninth meeting to date. Meanwhile McChrystal is losing troops. I bet Obama only sends 20,000 to 30,000 thousand troops v. the 40,000 requested. This will be a compromise that suits his liberal base. (It won't make them happy by any means). He can push frivilous bills through, however, everyday he delays a decision, it is possible we will lose more heroes. Thanks, Mr. President.
