The Great Uniter-Using the Race card

Yesterday, I was appalled when I heard President Obama speak out on the unfortunate arrest of Mr. Obama's friend. First, why is the President of the United States of America commenting on a local situation? The country has enough issues for him to deal with. Leave it to the locals to resolve. It almost seemed set-up when he called on a reporter who conveniently asked about Professor Gate's arrest. It appeared that he came alive when asked, unlike his lackluster speech on healthcare. Why would the President say that he didn't know the facts, however, comment that the Cambridge, Mass. Police Department acted "stupidly." That doesn't sound very Presidential? The law enforcement officers put their lives on the line everyday for people they don't even know. Sgt. Crowley did everything correctly. Mr Gates should be satisfied that the police responded quickly to his residence which is owned by Harvard University. I am not saying that there isn't racial profiling in America. It is all over the world. What I am saying is the President of the United States should not politicize race or racial tensions. Reverend Al Sharpton and Reverend Jesse Jackson do not need the help. However, this does take attention off of the failing stimulus, employment and healthcare bill being delayed. Say "no" to Socialism.
